WHY BE EDUCATED?

MOTIVATIONAL SERIES

Education empowers us to think critically, make informed decisions, and unlock better opportunities in life. It develops our understanding of the world, enhances our skills, and enables us to contribute meaningfully to society while achieving personal and professional growth.

It is not something that makes you an educated person; it is a term that makes you mature enough to solve your and others' problems. But unfortunately, this concept of thinking is not widely found, especially in South Asian and most African countries. "We should not study for grades,"  said many times, but no one tells them to study for what.

The main aim for which we are studying should be to serve humanity. A student is studying and saying there's no logic that we are studying physics and chemistry as they are not applicable in our practical lives, according to him or her.

The purpose of education is multi-faceted and varies from person to person. However, the fundamental aim of education is to empower individuals with knowledge and skills that will help them navigate through life successfully. Education not only equips us with academic knowledge but also teaches us valuable life skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration. It enables us to understand the world around us, cultivate empathy and respect for diversity, and make informed decisions.

But it's not totally their fault because it is also the duty of parents and teachers. Students should be acknowledged for the purpose they are studying for. Why won't you raise these questions with teachers, and why do teachers not explain the reason for being educated? The main reason is that most other teachers themselves don't know the real purpose of being educated. And the rest who know are mentioned in these lines:

"TWO BIG MISHAPS IN EDUCATION ARE, LEGENDARY STUDENTS
GET UNSERIOUS TEACHERS AND SECOND IS THAT LEGENDARY
TEACHERS GET UNSERIOUS STUDENTS. "

Today we are all in the race of life, and we think that by studying hard, we can win this race. But I ask whether you were studying only for these glories. This is only because we have shortened our vision. Education gives us six things: unity, faith, discipline, tolerance, humanity, and competition of the psyche. But unfortunately, many countries, including Pakistan, take this fact as a joke, and people think that a person who has some degrees is an educated person without knowing what his personality is. Because of these wrong basic fundamentals, people are now trying to change society without even knowing about themselves.

The education curriculum has not changed in many years, and students are loaded with that old syllabus, which really needs to be changed. So, students who really want to succeed can be leaders in their fields. But if our education system is not much improving, can't we improve it by setting high ideals? In a way, the next generation will think that some strong personalities study under that heavy theoretical curriculum and become those themselves who changed that system by winning and defeating that concept.

But we are lucky that some have stood up, and many improvements can be seen in recent years. Especially on our federal board, most of those old concepts are updated. Much theoretical work has been converted into practical projects that will really help our generation grow with the advanced youth. Also, the SLO-based concept will improve it a lot.
Now, students do not have to be bookish; they only need to understand basic concepts and practice them. It is very nice that we have started our journey to improvement. Our education system will soon be one of the best in the world if our boards and students will collaborate a little more continuously.

The main thing that remains on the side is dissolving all those rules and humanity understanding the concept of education. But it is proven that most of the parts are based on ourselves, our courage, and our passion for a topic. If a person does not understand the values and morals after graduating or after getting a degree, there's no need for this person because our society has filled up with these extra things. But ask yourself: were you built for this, getting grades and then fitting in with the crowd of people? Was that the extreme potential you gained?

Education is something that provides us with many life lessons and life rules. Especially, our women need to be educated. It is said that the mother forms the basic foundation of a child. But how is it possible if she herself does not know about the fundamentals?
So women's education should be promoted to remove the darkness from society. Medical studies are expensive, but even studying medical subjects and paying that amount only less than 22% out of 100% of women become doctors, as others could not continue further in their career as most of them got married and some were pressured by their homes to leave their dreams. This ignorance should be erased.

Collaboration between students and teachers is both needed and important to improve in the education sector. Our education budget also needs to increase so more facilities can be provided to institutions.

Moreover, education can open doors to various opportunities, allowing individuals to pursue their passions and fulfill their potential. Furthermore, it plays a crucial role in promoting personal growth and development by encouraging self-discovery and nurturing creativity. Ultimately, education serves as a powerful tool for creating a better society by empowering individuals to contribute positively to their communities.
